Oil Pump: Reassembly
- Place oil pump housing on torque converter. Coat all components with ATF. Align reference marks on driven and drive gears during installation. Align bolt holes and place stator shaft onto pump housing. Install but do not tighten attaching bolts. Install Oil Pump Aligning Tool (09363-20010) around outside of pump assembly to align pump housing and stator shaft. See Fig 1.
- Tighten oil pump bolts to 65 INCH lbs. (7.4 N.m). Remove aligning tool. Install oil seal rings. DO NOT
spread ring ends more than necessary for installation. Ensure seal rings move smoothly after installation. Ensure pump drive gear rotates smoothly. Lubricate and install "O" ring on oil pump assembly.
