Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel pad. Remove steering shaft nut. Make match marks on steering wheel and steering shaft for reassembly reference. Using Remover (09944-36010), remove steering wheel.
  2. Remove steering column upper and lower covers. Disconnect combination switch connector and remove switch from steering column. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten steering shaft nut to 18.5-28.5 ft. lbs. (25-40 N.m).
