Operation Check

  1. Disconnect actuator connector and remove actuator cover. Carefully remove wire terminals No. 2 and 3 from actuator connector. See Figure and Fig 1 . Connect test leads between positive battery terminal and actuator terminals No. 2 and 3. Connect test leads between negative battery terminal and actuator terminals No. 1 and 4. SeeFig 2 . Actuator should operate to fully open position. After test is completed, carefully reinsert wire terminal back into connector.

  2. Carefully remove wire terminals No. 3 and 4 from actuator connector. Connect test leads between positive battery terminal and actuator terminals No. 3 and 4. Connect test leads between negative battery terminal and actuator terminals No. 1 and 2. SeeFig 3 . Actuator should operate to fully closed position. If actuator does not operate as described, replace actuator. After test is completed, carefully reinsert wire terminal back into connector.
