Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve

REMOVAL
- Remove vacuum hose and modulator hose from EGR valve.
- Remove recirculation exhaust gas temperature sensor connector (if equipped).
- Remove two retaining bolts.
- Clean old gasket material and debris from EGR valve and mounting surface.

INSPECTION
- Inspect EGR valve and intake manifold passages for excessive build up and deposits. If cleaning is necessary, care should be taken to ensure that all loose particles are removed to prevent them from clogging the EGR valve or from being ingested into the engine.

INSTALLATION
- Install new valve, gasket, and two retaining bolts.
- Reconnect vacuum and modulator hoses.
- Confirm proper operation of EGR system.
