Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Testing and Inspection

- With ignition switch "OFF", disconnect ISC solenoid valve connector.

Checking ISC Solenoid Resistance:

- Check resistance between each two terminals of ISC solenoid valve.


ISC RESISTANCE
30 - 33 ohms

- If it is within specification, proceed to next operation check. If not, replace.

- Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.

Checking ISC Solenoid Operation:

- With engine running and ISC solenoid valve connector disconnected, disconnect ISC solenoid valve hose from air cleaner case.
- In this state, check that air is not drawn into the hose.

Checking ISC Solenoid Operation:

- Under above condition, connect 12V battery to ISC solenoid valve terminals and check that air is drawn into the hose.
- If check result is not satisfactory, replace SC solenoid valve.
- Connect hose and connector securely.
