Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
1. Raise and support vehicle.2. Disconnect brake hose from caliper.
3. Remove caliper guide pin caps.
4. Using a 6 mm Allen wrench, remove caliper guide pins, then the caliper.
5. Clean caliper with brake fluid.
6. Using compressed air, remove piston from caliper. Keep fingers away from piston.
7. Using a suitable screwdriver, remove piston seal from caliper. Take care not to damage bore of cylinder.
8. Install new piston seal in cylinder.

9. Install new boot on piston as shown, Fig. 3.
10. Install piston into cylinder by hand. Ensure boot fits in groove in piston.
11. Install caliper, then the brake pads.
12. Tighten caliper bolts and brake hose to specification.
13. Install wheel assembly, then lower vehicle and test brakes.
