Dual-Pressure Switch

  1. Connect manifold gauge set to A/C service ports. Start engine, and turn A/C on. Ensure system pressure is normal. Disconnect dual-pressure switch electrical connector.
  2. Connect ohmmeter probes to switch terminals. If pressure is 30 psi (2.1 kg/cm2 ) or less, low pressure switch should not show continuity. If pressure is 383 psi (26.9 kg/cm2 ) or more, high pressure switch should not show continuity. If continuity is not as specified, replace dual-pressure switch.
