Steering Column: Removal

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel, horn pad and combination switch. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD and COMBINATION SWITCH.
- Remove lower instrument panel cover. Remove "U" joint pinch bolt. Separate steering shafts at "U" joint. Unplug wiring connectors to steering column switches. Remove steering column floorboard bracket bolts. Remove steering column upper bracket nuts. Pull steering column from floorboard.
