Coolant Temperature Sending Unit

Warm sending unit in water. Ensure resistance decreases with increase of temperature. SeeFig 1 . Using an ohmmeter, check sending unit resistance as temperature changes. Sending unit resistance should be 133.9-178.9 ohms at 122° F (50° C), 47.5-56.8 ohms at 176° F (80° C) and 26.2-29.3 ohms at 212° F (100° C).
