Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

Removing ECM:

CAUTION: As ECM consists of precision parts, be careful not to expose it to excessive shock.


REMOVAL
- Disconnect battery negative cable at battery.
- Lower junction/fuse block after removing its bolts.
- Disconnect couplers from ECM while releasing coupler lock.
- Remove ECM from body.

INSTALLATION
- Install ECM to body.
- Connect couplers to ECM securely.
- Fix junction/fuse block with bolts.
- Connect battery negative cable at battery.
