Clutch Cable: Installation

  1. Apply grease to hook and pin of clutch cable before installing. Hook cable end to clutch pedal using a screwdriver or long nose pliers. Install clutch cable bracket on cable.
  2. Connect inner cable to release arm. Seal cable housing mounting surface at firewall and install 2 mounting bolts. Tighten mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  at end of article. Adjust free play. See CLUTCH PEDAL FREE PLAY  under ADJUSTMENTS. Ensure clutch functions correctly with engine running.
