Sending Units & Sensors

SENDING UNITS & SENSORS LOCATION

Component Location
Airflow Sensor On right side of engine compartment, in air intake. See Figure .
Coolant Temperature Sending Unit On rear of cylinder head, near distributor.

PFI On rear of engine, next to thermostat housing. See Figure .
TBI On rear of intake manifold, near throttle body. See Figure .
Crank Angle Sensor Inside distributor. See Figure & Figure .
EGR Temperature Sensor (Calif.) On base of EGR valve. See Figure .
Intake Air Temperature Sensor On air cleaner assembly. See Figure .
MAP Sensor On right side of firewall, near wiper motor. See Figure .
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) On throttle body assembly. See Figure & Figure .
Vehicle Speed Sensor In speedometer head. See Figure & Figure .
