RWAL Power Relay

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove radio speaker (if equipped) from lower left side of dash. Remove engine ECM with cover, bracket and fuse box from steering column holder.
  2. Disconnect Yellow connector from RWAL power relay. Remove relay. Check continuity across relay terminals No. 1 and 3. See Figure. Resistance should be 90-110 ohms.
  3. Check resistance across relay terminals No. 2 and 4. Reading should be infinite. Continuity should exist between terminals No. 2and 4 with battery voltage and ground applied to terminals No. 1 and 3. If relay does not test as indicated, replace relay.
