SERVICE INFORMATION

Suzuki has developed a new tool for measuring fuel pressure on Single Point Fuel Injected Sidekicks. The adapter fits between the fuel pressure regulator and the throttle body, allowing fuel tests to be performed completely from the engine compartment - not under the vehicle at the fuel filter.

INSTALLATION

  1. Loosen fuel cap.
  2. Relieve fuel pressure in fuel feed line.
  3. Remove Fuel Pressure Regulator.
  4. Install the Fuel Pressure Gauge Adapter where the Pressure Regulator was and install the Fuel Pressure Regulator into the adapter. See Fig 1 .
  5. Secure the Regulator and Adapter with the long bolts provided. Do not over-tighten the bolts: 1-3 lb-in torque is enough.

The Adapter attaches to most fuel pressure gauges via a standard 1/4 inch flared fitting. A second fitting is included to fit the factory fuel pressure gauge, P/N 09912-58412.

All dealers active April, 1991 will be shipped one (1) Fuel Pressure Gauge Adapter automatically: their Open Parts Account will be debited the dealer cost. This tool will also be added to the Mandatory Tool Kit and will be available through the Parts Department.
