BACKDRIVE Cable: Tracker

  1. Remove gearshift lever handle and shift indicators cover. Place ignition switch in "ACC" position.
  2. Loosen backdrive cable lock nut. See Fig 1. Lift cable from bracket, but not from backdrive cam. Temporarily install gearshift lever handle.
  3. Move gear selector to "P" position and fully depress button. Place backdrive cable in bracket. Ensure cable is fully extended out of housing.
  4. Turn adjusting nut until it contacts cable bracket. Release gearshift lever button. Turn adjusting nut ONE full turn away from backdrive cam. Tighten lock nut.
