Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection

Ignitor Location:

- Remove power unit from ignition coil bracket.
- Connect 2 new 1.5V in series (total voltage must be 3 VDC).

Inspecting Ignitor Operation:

- Connect positive lead of analog ohmmeter to "G" terminal of power unit.
- Connect negative lead of analog ohmmeter to "OC" terminal of power unit.
- Connect positive side side of battery source to "IB" terminal of power unit.
- Confirm that continuity exists between "G" and "OC" terminals when the negative circuit is supplied to "G" terminal of power unit.
- Coinfirm that continuity does not exist when power is removed.
- Replace power unit if it fails test.
