Brake Pad: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Exploded View Of Front Brake Assembly:

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel assembly.
2. Remove caliper antirattle clip, Fig. 1.
3. Remove caliper guide pin caps.
4. Using a 6mm Allen wrench, remove caliper guide pins.
5. Remove pad protectors, then caliper cylinder.
6. Remove pads.
7. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Torque caliper bolts to specifications.
b. Install wheel assemblies.
c. Lower vehicle and perform brake test.
