In cases where ASMC is contacted by customers regarding key code numbers, ASMC will not provide this information directly to customers, because of the need to verify that the person requesting the information has the right to use the vehicle.

It will therefore be appropriate for you to record the key code on your copy of the RDR card. Starting with the model year 1988 the New Vehicle Warranty Booklet provides a space for the customer to record the key number.

Any key code inquiries received directly from customers will be referred to the customer's selling dealer. If the code is not available in your records, please contact ASMC, extension 439.

Please notify your Sales Department, and all other persomel concerned accordingly.
