External Parts: Installation

  1. Install governor pressure switch. Install solenoid valve and piping. Connect electrical wires. Negative wire connects to governor pressure switch and positive wire connects to case electrical connector.
  2. Install oil strainer assembly using new gasket. Install servo cover using new gasket. Bolt oil pan to transmission using new gasket.
  3. Slide torque converter over stator shaft and input shaft. Make sure that the converter pump hub keyway is seated into the oil pump drive lugs. With converter properly seated, distance between engine mounting face of case and the front face of converter cover straps should be 1".
