2ND Clutch Assembly: Inspection
- Inspect clutch piston. If piston is damaged or if check ball falls out upon inspection, replace piston. Inspect piston lip seals and replace if worn or damaged.
- Inspect piston return springs for wear and distortion and replace as necessary. Inspect clutch hub bushing. If necessary, use a driver to replace bushing.
- Inspect clutch plates for wear, damage or signs of burning or glazing. If the surface of steel clutch plate; is smooth and an even color smear is indicated, plate should be reused. If severe heat spot discoloration or surface scuffing is indicated, plate should be replaced.
