2ND Clutch Assembly: Disassembly
- Remove ring gear retaining ring from 2nd clutch drum, then pull ring gear from drum. Remove 2nd clutch spacer plate retaining ring, then remove spacer plate, steel and composition clutch plates from clutch drum.NOTE: Keep clutch plates in same sequence as they were installed in clutch drum.
- Remove 2nd clutch-to-3rd clutch thrust washer. Using Spring Compressor (J-23327), compress 2nd clutch return springs and remove retaining snap ring. Remove compressor and withdraw spring retaining seat and return springs. Remove clutch piston from drum.
