Strut Assembly: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Allow suspension to hang freely. Remove wheels. Disconnect disc brake caliper hose from strut. Remove caliper from steering knuckle and wire aside.
  2. Scribe mating marks on strut and steering knuckle for installation reference. Remove lower strut-to-steering knuckle bolts. Remove upper strut-to-body mounting nuts at strut tower. Compress and remove strut assembly from vehicle.
