Lower Control Arm Bushings: Removal

  1. Remove lower control arm. SEE LOWER CONTROL ARM & BALL JOINT. To remove front bushing, first cut off .20" (5 mm) of bushing flange with hacksaw. See Fig 1.

  2. Using a press, Control Arm Support (09951-46020), Bush Remover (09951-16060), Handle (09924-74510), press out front bushing. Position Control Arm Support (09951-46020) on cut off area of bushing. See Fig 1. Remove rear bushing by cutting off rubber flange and pressing out bushing using Bushing Remover/Installer Set (09951-16040). See Fig 2.
