Lower Control Arm Bushings: Installation

  1. Lightly lube bushings before pressing. Ensure front bushing is installed correctly. See Figure. Using press and spacers/sockets, install front bushing until bushing flange contacts control arm housing edge. See Figure.
  2. Using press and Bushing Remover/Installer Set (09951-16040), install rear bushing until both rubber bushing flanges are on outside of control arm. See Figure. Install lower control arm. SEE LOWER CONTROL ARM & BALL JOINT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
