BACKDRIVE Cable (Park Lock Cable) Adjustments: Swift
- Remove center console cover. Place gearshift in Park. Loosen inner and outer lock nuts. Pull backdrive cable sheath forward until all slack is removed from inner wire. See Fig 1.

- While holding backdrive cable sheath forward, hand tighten outer lock nut. Tighten inner lock nut and tighten outer lock nut.
- Ensure ignition key operates from ACC to LOCK position and ignition key can be removed when gearshift is in Park.
- Move transaxle gearshift lever to any other position. Ensure ignition key cannot be turned from ACC to LOCK position. If ignition key will turn, readjust backdrive cable.
