System Schematic:

PURPOSE
It is an essential part of the electronic control system, for its functions include not only such a major function as to control fuel injector, ISC solenoid valve, throttle opener VSV, etc. but also self-diagnosis function, fail safe function and back-up function as described in the following sections.

Installed under L.H. of the instrument panel.


CONSTRUCTION
ECM is a precision unit consisting of one chip microcomputer, A/D (Analog/Digital) converter, I/0 (Input/Output) unit and etc..
