Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV): Swift

  1. Disconnect vacuum hose and connector from VSV. Check VSV solenoid by applying battery voltage to valve terminals. Air should flow from port "A" to port "B". See Fig 1 .
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between VSV body and each valve terminal. Continuity should not be present. Connect ohmmeter leads to VSV terminals. Ohmmeter reading should be 24-30 ohms. Replace VSV if readings are not as specified.
