Removal & Installation (Sidekick)

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove clutch cable joint nut. Loosen outer cable nuts and disconnect cable from release arm. Untie cable clamps. Remove clutch cable outer bolts at firewall. Unhook cable at clutch pedal shaft and remove cable.
- Apply grease to hook and pin of clutch cable before installing. Connect cable to clutch pedal and install retaining bolts. Connect clutch cable to release lever and install joint nut on cable. Adjust clutch pedal free play. See CLUTCH PEDAL FREE PLAY under ADJUSTMENTS. Connect negative battery cable.
