Side Gear End Play

Position a dial indicator against differential halves. See Fig 1 . Check side gear end play. If side gear end play is not .005-.014" (.13-.36 mm), replace thrust washers with proper thickness to obtain specified amount. Available thrust washers thickness are .035" (.9 mm), .039" (1.0 mm), .043" (1.1 mm) and .047" (1.2 mm).
