Pinion Shaft Operating Torque: Samurai
- Repeat steps 1) through 3) of PINION SHAFT STARTING TORQUE procedure. Pull on the spring scale to turn flexible joint through one complete turning cycle.
- Note the operating torque measurement. Operating torque should be less than 6.94 lbs. (3.15 kg). Loosen or tighten adjusting bolt as necessary to achieve proper torque.
- If pinion shaft starting torque and operating torque tests have been performed and adjustment is not possible, replace steering gear.
