Pick-Up Coil: Adjustments

1. Remove distributor cap and rotor.

2. Using feeler gauge, measure air gap between signal rotor tooth and generator, Fig. 24. Air gap should be .008--.015 inch (.2--.4mm).
3. If gap is not within specifications, remove igniter and loosen two screws holding generator.

4. Using screwdriver, move generator to adjust gap to specification, Fig. 25.
5. Tighten 2 screws and recheck air gap.
6. Install igniter, rotor, and distributor cap.
