Prior to performing the following procedure, ensure vehicle is in neutral on manual transmission models or park on automatic transmission models. A/C should be off, parking brake should be set and the drive wheels should be blocked.
1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature.
2. Remove rubber seal from Throttle Switch (manuals) or Throttle Position Sensor (automatics).
3. Using a jumper wire, connect terminal A and B of connector from wire side, Fig. 6.
4. Gradually raise engine speed. It should show variation (up and down) around 2000 RPM.
