CONDITION:
Scoring of the hydraulic lifter bore when compressing the valve springs.

CAUSE:
When removing the valve springs from the DOHC cylinder head, the valve spring compressor attachment may score the hydraulic lifter bore. If this occurs it will cause hydraulic pressure loss.



CORRECTION:
Insert the protective, sleeve before using the valve spring compressor.
