Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then ISC solenoid valve coupler.
2. On 1989 models, pull out valve wires from coupler as shown in Fig. 147.
3. On 1990--92 models, remove EGR modulator. Then remove air hose from ISC valve.
4. Remove and install radiator cap to relieve cooling system pressure. Then disconnect water hoses from ISC solenoid.
5. On all models, remove ISC solenoid valve from throttle body.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Check gasket from damage, replace as necessary.
b. Torque attaching screws to 2.5 ft. lbs.
