Extension Housing: Inspection

Inspect extension housing for damage and replace housing if necessary. Check parking pawl and spring for damage and replace as necessary.
If extension housing rear seal requires replacement, use a screwdriver and pry seal from housing. If bushing requires replacement, use a driver and drive bushing from housing.
Clean housing of dirt and foreign matter. Install new housing bushing into housing using a bushing driver until bushing is flush with shoulder of extension housing. Install new oil seal into rear of housing.
