Component Disassembly & Reassembly: Governor: Disassembly

  1. Governor, except driven gear, is serviced as a complete assembly. Driven gear may be serviced separately and requires disassembly of governor for gear replacement.

  2. Governor weights are interchangeable from side to side. Cut off one end of each governor weight pin and remove pins, governor thrust cap, governor weights and springs. Remove governor valve from governor sleeve. See Fig 1.
