Vehicle Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument cluster from instrument panel.
3. Connect ohmmeter between GND screw and RSW screw on Swift and Samurai, or between E screw and RS screw on Sidekick.
4. Turn cable joint with a screwdriver. Ohmmeter indicator should move back and forth between zero and infinity four times while cable joint is turned one full revolution.
5. If results are not specified, replace speedometer.
