Brake Warning Light

Light comes on as a bulb check the ignition switch in turned on, it should go out when the engine is started. When lit with the engine running, it indicates that the park brake is on or the brake fluid in the brake master cylinder reservoir is low. If the light illuminates when the brake pedal is depressed, it may indicate a failure in one of the two braking circuits. Stop the vehicle immediately and check the fluid level in the reservoir. Check for leaks and check pedal pressure. Service immediately.
