Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Suzuki XL7. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the mode actuator to the evaporator case assembly.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the mode actuator screws to the evaporator case assembly.

    Tightening torque 

    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in). 

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the mode actuator.
  4. Install the left side insulator/closeout panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT SIDE .
    NOTE: Any time a mode actuator or the HVAC control module is replaced, the HVAC control module must be calibrated to ensure proper air distribution.
  5. Calibrate the actuators. Refer to ACTUATOR RECALIBRATION .
  6. Cycle the ignition and verify proper operation.
