Park/Neutral Switch (Sidekick A/T)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect connector at Park/Neutral switch on right side of transmission. Connect ohmmeter between Black/Yellow and Black/Red wire terminals of switch connector. With gear selector in Park or Neutral, continuity should exist. With gear selector in any other position, continuity should not exist.
  2. Connect ohmmeter between Yellow and Red wire terminals of switch connector. With gear selector in Reverse, continuity should exist. With gear selector in any other position, continuity should not exist. Replace park/neutral switch if it does not test as described.
