Removal (Samurai & Sidekick)
- Relieve fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL SYSTEM in this article. Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove air intake from top of throttle body. Remove fuel feed pipe clamp from intake manifold. Disconnect fuel feed pipe from throttle body. Remove injector cover.WARNING: To prevent personal injury and damage to injector, DO NOT use more than 70 psi of air pressure to remove injector.
- Unplug injector harness connector. See Fig 1 . Slide injector grommet from throttle body. Place shop towel over injector. To remove injector, apply compressed air (less than 70 psi) into fuel inlet port of throttle body.
