Airflow Meter
- Turn ignition off. Without disconnecting connector from airflow meter, slide back airflow meter seal to gain access to rear of connector terminals. Using a digital voltmeter with at least 10-megohm input impedance, backprobe terminals "B" and "C" (as marked on airflow meter housing).
- Turn ignition on. Voltmeter should indicate 12 volts. If voltmeter reading is not as specified, check power (terminal "B") and ground (terminal "C") supply to terminals "A3" and "A5" of control unit.
- If 12 volts is present at terminals "B" and "C" of airflow meter, check voltage signal at terminals "D" and "C" of airflow meter with key on and engine off. Voltmeter should indicate .2-.8 volt. Start engine. As airflow increases (increased RPM), voltage signal should increase. Replace airflow meter if defective.
