Vehicle Speed Sensor

Vehicle speed sensor is a P/M generator and switching transistor located in the speedometer head. Control unit supplies and monitors a voltage signal to the speed sensor. As P/M generator rotates (vehicle moving), switching transistor in speed sensor grounds and ungrounds the reference voltage signal from terminal "A10" of control unit. Control unit uses this signal to help determine control of idle speed control solenoid.
