Advance Control
Ignition timing is controlled by the control unit based upon sensor input signals. Control unit controls ignition timing to a precise point by matching the vehicles operating conditions to pre-programmed timing advance specifications stored in control unit memory. Signals generated by the crank angle sensor are transmitted to the control unit. These signals are modified by input signals from coolant temperature sensor, airflow meter, throttle position sensor, idle switch, vehicle speed sensor and monitored battery voltage.
