1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect throttle position sensor electrical connector.
3. Using a suitable ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals of the TPS as shown in Fig. 135. Readings should be as specified in Fig. 136.
5. If readings are not as specified, refer to ``System Service'' for throttle position sensor adjustment, then repeat step three of this procedure.
6. If readings are not as specified after making necessary adjustments, replace the TPS.
