Shift Modulator: Service and Repair

Fig. 22 Removing Vacuum Modulator:

1. Raise and support vehicle. Clean around modulator.
2. Disconnect vacuum pipe from transmission.
3. Remove modulator using tool shown in Fig. 22.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install new O-ring with modulator.
b. Torque modulator to specification.
