Throttle Body: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain engine coolant so level is below throttle body. Remove air intake case from throttle body.
- Disconnect accelerator cable and automatic transmission kickdown cable (if equipped) from throttle body. Unplug injector, throttle position sensor and idle speed control solenoid couplers at throttle body.
- Label all vacuum hoses and disconnect hoses from throttle body. Disconnect coolant hose from air valve on throttle body.
- Relieve fuel system pressure, remove fuel filler cap to release fuel vapor pressure in tank. Disconnect coupler "A" from control relay. See Figure . Start engine. Let engine run until it runs out of fuel.
- Remove fuel feed line from throttle body and fuel return line from fuel pressure regulator. Remove 4 mounting bolts and lift throttle body off of intake manifold.
