TPS Inspection
- Disconnect negative battery cable and TPS connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between upper and lower terminals. See the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) RESISTANCE table.
- To move throttle valve to idle position, apply vacuum to throttle opener. If TPS sensor cannot be adjusted to obtain the correct values at idle, replace TPS sensor.
