Idle Speed

  1. Warm engine to operating temperature and turn all accessories off. Ensure that all fuel and emission control system wire connectors and hoses are properly connected.
  2. Accelerate engine to 1500 RPM or more and return to idle. Attach tachometer and ensure ignition timing is correct. If idle is not within specification, rotate adjustment screw to obtain correct idle RPM.
NOTE: DO NOT  adjust idle speed in areas above 8200 ft. elevation.

Application Idle RPM
Sidekick (1) 750-850
(1) Manifold vacuum should be 17.7-21.5 in. Hg. with transmission in Neutral.
