High Altitude Compensation Switch

Switch is located on firewall to left of battery. Switch detects changes in atmospheric pressure in response to elevation and transits this information to control unit. This allows control unit to adjust air/fuel mixture and idle speed in relation to altitude. At elevations less than 4000 ft., switch is open. At elevations greater than 4000 ft., switch is closed.
